on an American Reef Scuba dive

An exceptional customer experience with safety and service as the top priorities!

Our Process

1. Get familiar and comfortable with American Reef Scuba through our About Us and FAQ’s sections.
2. Schedule, book, and pay for your dives completely online via PayPal or Stripe.
3. Contact American Reef Scuba via email or WhatsApp the day before your first dive to confirm.
4. Board the boat in the marina or at your hotel dock as appropriate and enjoy your experience.

Morning Dives – the boat departs the marina at 9:30 AM and returns to the marina at 1:30 PM.

Afternoon Dives – the boat departs the marina at 2:30 PM and returns to the marina at 6:30 PM.

Coming from a cruise ship or ferry pier:

  • Catch a taxi to take you to “Marina Fonatur”. The island of Cozumel has a very professional taxi service.
  • The vehicles are well marked, safe, and reliable.
  • The taxi fare should be between $10 – $20. Ensure you have a clear understanding of the price before you get into the taxi.
  • The taxi will drop you off at the roundabout inside Marina Fonatur.
  • You then walk towards the boat ramp to the left.
  • You will see a representative from American Reef Scuba waiting to welcome you.
  • Together we will board the boat where your tanks and any rental gear will be waiting.
  • Let the adventure begin!

Staying on the island in a resort hotel:

  • Contact American Reef Scuba via email or WhatsApp the day before your first dive to confirm your booking and schedule your boat pickup time.
  • Your resort must be located south of Marina Fonatur to qualify for boat pickup.
  • Some hotels require a dock fee for boat pickup. Check with your hotel for details.
